We are seeking a talented Python developer to join our newly formed team in Perth and support the growth of our engineering capabilities in Australia. As a cross-functional engineer with a growth mindset, you will be passionate about object-oriented programming and advocate for human-centred design and development. You will be actively engaged in the full development lifecycle of innovative platforms and robust solutions for our renowned clients, from architectural adjustments to product evolution.

This role is ideal for an accomplished software engineer who is an advocate for technical excellence, mentorship, knowledge-sharing, and fostering an inclusive work culture.

This is a full-time, Perth-based role requiring in-office client interaction. We welcome interstate applicants open to relocating for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications using Python
• API and Service Integration: Create robust RESTful APIs and microservices leveraging modern frameworks
• Database design and analysis: Design application database storage and analyse existing data stores
• Cloud Solutions: Utilise Azure services for application hosting, database management, and infrastructure automation.
• Code Quality Assurance: Ensure best practices in code through reviews, testing, and adherence to standards.
• Participate in the review of programming tools and techniques.
• Adhere to best practices and compliance standards.

• Python Development Expertise: Commercial experience in Python development.
• Database Design: Experience in relational database design using PostgresSQL
• SQL development: Crafting efficient SQL queries to analyse existing data.
• Learning Agility: Proven ability and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and adapting to new challenges.
• Code Craftsmanship: Skilled at writing high-quality, maintainable, efficient code that fulfills project requirements.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Django and/or Flask frameworks.
• Familiarity with C# .NET API development.
• Familiarity with web development.
• Cloud Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Azure.
