About Us
Aged Care Rehabilitation Services is a Perth based rapidly growing provider of allied health services to the community and residential aged care facilities across the metropolitan area.
With a team of over 50 mobile therapists including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists, Dietitian, and Speech Pathologists while working in a Multi-disciplinary team environment, we are dedicated in improving the provision of allied health services to residents living in aged care homes and in-home clients within the community.
We provide services to residential aged care facilities within WA and daily treatments for In Home Community/NDIS/STRC clients within Perth metro areas making us one of the largest boutique allied health providers within Western Australia specifically tailored towards high quality rehabilitation treatments for the Geriatric Population.
About the role
Due to business expansion, we are seeking expressions of interest from enthusiastic Speech Pathologist either Casual or Sub-contractor basis throughout Perth metropolitan areas (North and South of river) who intent to make a real difference in the lives of the elderly.
In this role you will be responsible for providing high quality Speech Pathology and Dietitian services that support health ageing strategies of older adults. This is an opportunity to work in a person-centred, multi-disciplinary environment that embraces innovative practice and focuses of reablement of our clients.

Key Responsibilities (Speech Pathologist)
- Assessing and diagnosing your clients' swallowing and communication difficulties by helping to improve mealtimes, providing mealtime management plans and advocating for communication support for clients with communication difficulties by Delivering educational sessions
- Predominantly Dysphagia caseload and management within residential aged care, with community clients requiring management of dysphagia and communication who have neurodegenerative, respiratory, and cardiac conditions and/or acquired brain injuries.
- Assessment and management of speech, language, voice, and swallowing difficulties in adults with diverse medical backgrounds within both the community and in residential aged care facilities
- Advocating for Speech Pathology intervention to optimise function and maximise quality of life
- Working with clients, their families, and other staff members to ensure a person-centred model of care
- Provision of education and support to clients, their families and staff members on the management of dysphagia and communication difficulties
About You:
- Minimum Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or equivalent
with Certified Practicing Speech Pathology Australia membership - NEW GRADUATES ARE WELCOME
- Positive can-do attitude with Demonstrated broad relevant experience leading to a current understanding of clinical practices in an aged care setting including working from a Health Ageing approach
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Encouraging a change towards allied health service delivery in residential aged care through rehabilitation and re-enablement programs.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Your well-honed communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills are easily demonstrated when you work in an inter-disciplinary team, as well when making meaningful connections with residents and their families.
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Act (1997), Occupational Health and Safety legislation, Accreditation Standards and AN-AAC
- NDIS screening check, COVID-19, Flu vaccine records & National Police Clearance
- Professional indemnity insurance, or willingness to obtain
- Passionate about aged care and desirable to have prior experience working as a Speech Pathologist in community or residential aged care settings
- Be physically residing within Australia
