This role involves riding the cargo bike to swap batteries and perform basic maintenance as needed. You'll also make sure e-bikes are correctly positioned, helping create a positive experience for both the community and riders.

Role: Cargo Field Ranger

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing casual role

Hours: 6am-12pm on a rotating roster. 3-4 days per week.

Pay Rates:

  • Weekday $31.19 p/hr
  • Saturday: $43.66 p/hr
  • Sunday: $56.14 p/hr
  • Public Holiday: $68.61. p/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Ride the cargo bike to deploy, retrieve, and swap e-bike batteries.
  • Ensure e-bikes are correctly positioned and operational.
  • Transport the cargo bike and batteries as needed between locations.
  • Use smartphone apps to locate and manage e-bikes.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues on site.
  • Work safely and efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • Full, unrestricted Australian driver's license with a clean record (preferred).
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using apps to locate and manage e-bikes.
  • Comfortable riding a cargo bike as your primary mode of transport for work.
  • Physically active, able to bend and lift up to 30kg.
  • Positive attitude and strong team player—teamwork is key to success.
  • Comfortable working independently.
  • Previous experience in delivery, mechanical work, logistics, or inventory is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of local area geography and street layouts preferred, but not required.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (except unsafe conditions).
