Boorowa Central School is a vibrant, inclusive educational institution located in the heart of a farming community in the Hilltops region of New South Wales, nestled within the Southwest Slopes. Situated three hours southwest of Sydney, just over an hour northeast of Canberra, and within a 30-minute drive of both Young and Yass, Boorowa is at the center of a thriving agricultural area. The school serves approximately 255 students, with around 13% identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Boorowa Central School proudly acknowledges the Ngunnawal and Wiradjuri peoples as the traditional custodians of the land, both within the school grounds and the surrounding community. • Approval to teach Primary Library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
• Demonstrated creative, innovative, and flexible approach to managing a stimulating library environment to engage all students, enhance their learning experience, and promote a love of literature, with the ability to adapt and integrate effectively within existing school frameworks and library structures to support cohesive program delivery.

• Evidence of highly developed communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team, enhance practice, build positive and authentic relationships with students, staff, parents/carers, and the wider community.

• Ability to coordinate whole-school events and programs that align with the Teacher Librarian role, demonstrating adaptability and a collaborative approach to meet the diverse needs of the whole school community.

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
