About the role
Join the dynamic team at Be Kind Neuro Rehab Pty Ltd as a part-time Occupational Therapist in our Maroochydore, QLD location. As a key member of our allied health services, you'll play a vital role in providing tailored rehabilitation and support to our clients, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life.
What you'll be doing
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify clients' strengths, needs and goals
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans focused on improving functional abilities, daily living skills and independence
- Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions using a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care for clients
- Educate clients, families and caregivers on strategies to support ongoing rehabilitation
- Maintain meticulous client records and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery
What we're looking for
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a neurorehabilitation or community-based setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills to deliver person-centred, goal-oriented therapy
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development
- Flexible, adaptable and collaborative approach to working within a multidisciplinary team
