We are partnering with a fast-growing Fintech in the consumer finance space, on the lookout for a dynamic Operations & Product Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of the business and drive the evolution of its product offering.

This is a unique, high-impact role at the intersection of operations, product, and commercial strategy — perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced scale-up environment and loves building structure while launching innovative products that transform customer experiences.

Location: Sydney 

Role: 4 days/week in office 

Start date: ASAP 

Work: 12-month FTC 

What you'll be doing:

  • Own and optimise day-to-day operations across product, service delivery, collections, and customer service.
  • Act as the bridge between Operations and Product — ensuring new features are scoped, delivered, and embedded seamlessly into the business.
  • Oversee credit and collections processes, maintaining regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
  • Lead and empower customer service teams to deliver an exceptional, customer-first experience.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Commercial teams to align operational capacity with growth objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement of systems, processes, and third-party partnerships to support scale.
  • Provide strategic operational insight to senior leadership through reporting and recommendations.
  • Champion a product mindset — translating customer and operational feedback into actionable product enhancements.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager, Product Operations Manager, or similar role within FinTech, consumer finance, or financial services.
  • A strong grasp of product delivery, customer service, credit/collections, and operational strategy.
  • Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment, comfortable wearing multiple hats.
  • A commercial and customer-centric mindset, with a track record of partnering effectively with Sales and Product teams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to balance execution with strategic thinking — ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while helping shape the future product roadmap.
