HR Generalist

This HR Generalist role is a hands-on role where you'll support all aspects of the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through to engagement, performance, and wellbeing.
You'll act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, helping to foster a culture that values collaboration, fairness, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line HR support and guidance to managers and employees,
- Support employee relations matters, including performance reviews and PIPs.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes.
- Advise on award interpretation, particularly within the Retail Award.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and internal communications.
- Support engagement, wellbeing, and recognition initiatives.
- Collaborate with the global HR team — including the UK office (with some flexibility for after-hours meetings on a fortnightly basis)
- Take on occasional office administration tasks where required.
- Supporting some office administration (ad hoc)
About You
- 2–3 years' experience in an HR generalist or coordination role
- Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience or interest in retail award interpretations (highly desirable)
- Strong communication and influencing skills across all levels.
- High attention to detail, organisation, and follow-through.
- Flexibility, good judgement, and a collaborative mindset.
- A genuine interest in travel or cultural experiences is a bonus
