The Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled LED Screen Technician to join our dynamic Media team. You'll work on permanent installations — including billboards, pylons, and wall displays, ensuring each project is set up, configured, and maintained to the highest standard. This role combines hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and collaboration with a variety of teams.

What you'll do

  • Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain LED video walls and control systems.
  • Manage video signal flow (HDMI, SDI, DVI, CAT6, fibre) and power distribution.
  • Operate LED control software (e.g., NovaStar, Linsn, Colorlight) and troubleshoot technical issues on-site.
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance, including pixel repair and alignment.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Work closely with production and technical teams to deliver seamless installations.
  • Follow OH&S standards and site safety procedures.

About you

  • Proven experience in LED screen setup, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Proficient with LED configuration software and familiar with processors, scalers, and media servers (e.g., Resolume, Watchout).
  • Understanding of DMX/ArtNet lighting integration and basic soldering/cable repair.
  • Able to work at heights, lift heavy equipment, and operate safely in varied conditions.
  • Qualifications/tickets such as OH&S, Working at Heights, White Card, and Certificate III in Electronics & Communications (or equivalent) are desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a professional, client-focused approach.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
  • Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel when required.

Working conditionsThis role includes both indoor and outdoor work, sometimes in challenging weather, with physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and climbing.
