Centre Director

Happy Sprouts Early Learning, is seeking an experienced, passionate Centre Director to join our privately owned, purpose-built brand-new centre located in Craigieburn

As the Centre Director you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, you will be actively involved in building a strong team culture and building positive relationships with families, children and the community. Your main role is to ensure the service provides high-quality education and care for all children and families.

As the Centre Director you will be the Nominated Supervisor. You will be involved in; promoting the service, increasing enrolments, recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic team, as well as developing strong community involvement.

You will support the service to ensure it meets its KPIs, which will include budgets, occupancy, service satisfaction, and Department of Education reporting. You will be supported by the experienced Approved Providers. You will have access to support services for HR/ IR issues.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a genuine passion for Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Has a vibrant energy, is an uplifting team player and a confident leader
  • Is able to manage the day-to-day operations of the Centre whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and our service policies and procedures
  • Create inclusive, professional, and genuine relationships with team members, children, and their families
  • Demonstrates warmth, compassion, and possesses a high level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Is proactive, flexible and has proven strong time management and organisational skills
  • Proven ability of management of staff and displays great team leadership
  • Facilitate regular staff meetings, staff training and ongoing mentoring of staff
  • Focus on continuous quality improvement and ensure provision of a service which meets and exceeds the National Quality Framework and Standards

What you will need:

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
  • Experience in a management or leadership role and team development (desirable)
  • Be available to work between 6.30am – 6.30pm
  • High-level of knowledge and understanding of;
  • The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • The Education and Care Services National Regulations and relevant laws
  • The National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Victorian Child Safe Standards and Child Protection Training
  • Current Working with Childrens Check and a Police Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Understand and working knowledge of Work Health and Safety
  • Experience in childcare software (desirable)
