Our client is a nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering high-quality training to the Mining, Civil & Construction Resource Sector. With strong ties to industry and a reputation for excellence, our client is expanding their team and looking for skilled Trainers & Assessors to join them in Mackay and Bundaberg.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Trainer & Assessors to deliver accredited training in Mining, Civil & Construction sectors. You'll work across classroom, site-based, and simulated environments, providing training that reflects real-world standards and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nationally recognised training and assessment to students in the Mining Civil & Construction Sectors

• Facilitate engaging learning experiences across classroom and practical settings

• Ensure compliance with RTO training standards

• Maintain accurate records and participate in validation and moderation processes

• Support learners with guidance, mentoring, and constructive feedback

About You

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent with required upgrades)

• Relevant qualifications and practical experience in the Mining, Civil & Construction Sectors

• Experience as a Trainer & Assessor within the VET system

• High-level understanding of WHS and mining safety standards

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Industry currency and commitment to ongoing professional development
Highly Regarded

• Current RIIs (e.g Excavator, Dozer, Loader, Grader, Water Truck, Confined Space, Gas Testing, Working at Heights)

• High-Risk Work Licences (e.g. EWP, Forklift, Dogging, Crane)

• Experience training in large mining operations or with contractor companies

• Willingness to travel between training sites as needed
