The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Bid Manager, Grants and Submissions to join our Strategy & Development team and lead our tender and grants portfolio.
In this senior role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end bid process from identifying opportunities to crafting compelling submissions that win funding and shape Opendoor's future growth. You will collaborate across all service streams including Employment, Youth, NDIS & Allied Health, RTO, and Social Enterprises, translating data, strategy and impact into persuasive proposals.
Your work will directly influence the expansion of our programs and partnerships, enabling us to reach more people and deliver services that change lives.
What You'll Do
- Lead the preparation and delivery of high-quality tenders and grant submissions across multiple portfolios
- Coordinate input from leaders and subject matter experts to ensure strong, evidence-based proposals
- Maintain a proactive pipeline of opportunities and contribute to funding strategies and feasibility assessments
- Develop scalable processes, content libraries and templates to strengthen organisational tender capability
- Support program design using logic models, outcomes frameworks and data-driven insights
- Build and nurture relationships with government, commercial funders and sector partners
- Coach and guide internal teams in bid readiness and narrative development
What You'll Bring
- Proven success leading complex tenders and grants within community or human services sectors
- Exceptional writing skills that turn data, ideas and strategy into clear, compelling stories
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strategic thinker who thrives on collaboration and continuous improvement
- Experience with funding models, costings or business cases
Desirable:
- Understanding of employment services, disability, youth or allied health programs
- Experience with philanthropic or corporate partnerships
- APMP bid training or certification (highly regarded)
