About the role

We are seeking an experienced Security Technician to join our dynamic team at Commsecurity PTY LTD. In this full-time role based in Melbourne, VIC 3000, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide range of security systems and equipment.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing installations, programming, and testing of security systems such as CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms
  • Conducting routine maintenance and servicing of security equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that arise with security systems
  • Providing on-call support and emergency response services as needed
  • Maintaining detailed documentation and records of all work undertaken
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions

What we're looking for

  • Relevant technical qualification or training in security systems and equipment
  • Demonstrated experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and colleagues
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to client sites as required
