About the Role

As our Kitchen Assistant, you'll support the Catering Supervisor and Cook in preparing and serving meals, maintaining hygiene, and keeping the kitchen running smoothly. Your contributions will directly impact the comfort and wellbeing of the people we care for.

Casual position with shifts ranging from 6:00am to 9:00pm, including weekends and public holidays.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparing meals and plating food based on dietary needs
  • Maintain cleanliness of dishes, kitchen areas, and food prep equipment
  • Support food safety, hygiene, and infection control procedures
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and care staff
  • Follow set routines while adapting to the changing needs of the day

What We're Looking For
  • A friendly, respectful team player with a strong work ethic
  • Experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment (aged care experience desirable)
  • Good communication skills (English essential; Finnish a bonus)
  • Attention to detail and commitment to food hygiene standards
  • Physically fit and able to work on your feet in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to complete mandatory training
