AJ Stack Solutions (AJSS) is growing fast — and we're looking for a Senior Technical Engineer with deep experience in gas turbines, particularly Solar Turbines (Taurus, Mars, Titan) and/or GE Heavy Industrial (Frame 5, 6B, 7E, 9E) packages.

You'll lead technical delivery across inspections, diagnostics, shutdown planning, commissioning, and performance troubleshooting—partnering closely with clients and field teams across Australia.

Since 2013, AJSS has provided expert Engineering and Field service support services to the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Mining Industries and New Energy Developments. We share rotating equipment knowledge and guide customers to manage and extend the life of their assets while reducing costs. With expertise in Turbo-machinery and Rotating equipment, AJSS provides extensive services including consultancy, engine evaluation, performance improvements, field services, commissioning and decommissioning projects.

Role Description

Based in Perth, with periodic travel to customer sites across Australia, you'll lead the delivery of technical scopes and outage planning across rotating equipment assets. This includes inspection, diagnostics, project planning, and hands-on engineering support for overhauls, upgrades, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

You'll play a critical role in:

  • Supporting client projects with expertise in gas turbines and rotating equipment
  • Performing condition assessments, borescope inspections, and root cause analyses
  • Leading or contributing to site-based scopes — from pre-shutdown planning to execution
  • Reviewing OEM documentation and driving reliability improvements
  • Collaborating with a tight-knit engineering and field services team to deliver smart, scalable solutions

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or similar)
  • 5+ years of experience working with gas turbines or rotating equipment
  • Proven hands-on knowledge of Solar and/or GE Frame turbine packages
  • Strong fault-finding, planning, and customer-facing skills
  • Strong understanding of auxiliary systems, controls, and condition monitoring
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites (domestic and occasional offshore)
  • Experience in Power Generation, Oil & Gas, or Mining industries is a plus
