THE OPPORTUNITY:

We're looking for an outgoing, vibrant and confident Assistant Accountant. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will manage the full cycle of AP, AR and day-to-day accounting functions, prepare month end and dive into financial analysis. You will also be building automated tools and optimising processes – so come ready to innovate.

Our ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and has exceptional time, communication and organisation skills and is used to work to tight deadlines. You need to be analytically minded, willing to learn, an excel guru and hands on automating processes. You will be aiming to start studying your CPA/CA with the opportunity for study support after your probation period.

WHAT YOU WILL BE UP TO:

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function
  • Bank and Credit Cards Reconciliations
  • Preparing Month End
  • Preparing Tax Reporting (including BAS, FBT, IAS)
  • Drive Business Process Improvements, automations, and projects
  • Preparing Consolidated Group Financials
  • Assisting with Management Accounting

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business or Commerce or minimum 2 years' experience in Accounting
  • Proficient in Office 365, especially advanced Excel skills
  • Confident communications skills to approach internal and external stakeholders
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and "can-do" energy
  • Ability to work independently but also a strong collaborator with a "can do" attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional time management and organisation skills.
  • Ability to work with current accounting tools and platforms for tasks automation.
