About the role

Gladstone Sheet Metal is seeking a passionate and dedicated 1st year sheet metal apprentice to join their team in Gladstone, Queensland. This is a full-time role where you will have the opportunity to learn a skilled trade and gain valuable on-the-job experience.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting qualified tradesmen with the fabrication and installation of sheet metal products
  2. Learning to operate specialised machinery and tools required for sheet metal work
  3. Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  4. Developing your skills in welding, soldering, and other metalworking techniques
  5. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  6. Completing theoretical and practical training as part of your apprenticeship
