In this role, you'll:
Work within our Engineering & Maintenance Team in Sydney Trains as a subject matter expert.

You will provide optimum designs and related technical services associated with the development of the voice networks (Telephony, Voice Communications System and Control Centre)

You will hold and exercise Engineering Design Authority for Sydney Trains' telecommunications Voice Systems such as the PABX and telephony network and the Network Control Communications Systems (NCCS) infrastructure which includes the Voice Communications System (VCS), the Voice Recorder network etc.

You will undertake high level Voice & Telephony Network designs including physical network design, and systems Architecture design in accordance with Australian & Sydney Trains Standards.

You will also undertake high level system design, including construction details in accordance with relevant standards Australian & Sydney Trains Standards.

About You
This role will see you able to write technical documents, ie technical specifications, systems requirements, concept and detailed designs.

You will understand risk management principles and adopt risk mitigation while undertaking design.

You will be able to describe systems engineering model and technical process steps for managing engineering designs.

Ideally you will have knowledge of various voice products and features, such as telephone and wireless handsets/ headsets, applications (desktop and mobility), Call Centre Management applications and all associated functionality and feature.

Experience analysing raw data (SQL and Text) information for auditing and fault analysis will be highly regarded.

This opportunity is on a temporary full time fixed term basis up to 12 months.
