In this role, you'll:
Work within our Engineering & System Integrity Team of Sydney Trains, you will assist in the provision of authoritative expert engineering innovation, planning, advice and design in the relevant electrical engineering discipline.

Assist in the preparation and evaluation of technical feasibility studies and contribute to the ongoing maintenance of the relevant electrical systems infrastructure database to ensure Electrical Engineering requirements are met.

This role will see you assist the Principal Engineer and Technical Specialists in the provision of advice and services to internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of quality, timely and cost effective infrastructure solutions.

About You
You will identify, develop and communicate engineering innovations relating to the relevant electrical sub-discipline technology, to facilitate the provision of safe and commercially smart solutions to Sydney Trains engineering problems.

Your keen eye for detail will see you identify issues and problems related to technical specifications, budgets, safety, quality, environmental, standards and resourcing by following established procedures to minimise the impact on the delivery of design projects.

You will also assist in tender preparation for Request For Tender (RFT) submissions, through the provision of expert technical advice throughout the process.

You will have knowledge of or the ability to acquire knowledge in the design and planning of electrical infrastructure.

You will understand risk management, electrical design and asset management, construction and commissioning.

You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of relevant legislation, codes of practice, standards and regulations relating to Electrical Engineering.

You will hold a tertiary qualification in civil, electrical, mechanical or mechatronics disciplines.
