About the role

Gracey Mining Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Underground Coal Trades professionals to join our team at our operations in Moranbah, Queensland. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic and progressive mining company.

What we're looking for

  • Formal trade qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. mechanical, electrical, fitting and turning)
  • Experience with Komatsu / JOY development equipment
  • Proven experience working in an underground coal mining environment (Minimum 2 Years)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

What you'll be doing

  • Perform a variety of skilled trade duties related to the maintenance and repair of underground mining equipment and infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
