About the role:
We are looking for a hands on, positive and mechanically-minded Operation Worker to join our PackHall team at our Dubbo Manufacturing Site. The hours of work are Mon - Fri 6:55am - 3:00pm and some overtime as required.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is keen to develop their career in the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure correct amount of packaged product is packed into bags, inners and outers.
• Packaged product is sealed (nothing caught in seals when packed)
• Only good quality bags are packed.
• To ensure keeping work areas clean at all times.
• Follow GMP, Food Safety procedures and practices at all times.
• When machines are not running or when necessary ensure enough packaging required is stocked in appropriate area to the line.
• Pack efficiently and effectively.
• Keep a vigilant eye out for any variance in product being packed or products used in packing – operator and supervisor of any suspected abnormality immediately.
• Maintain and improve quality, food safety and hygiene within area of responsibility and take corrective action in response to quality, food safety and hygiene non-compliance.
• Identify and raise risk management and WHS issues on an on-going basis in relation to area of responsibility to ensure that risks and WHS issues are identified and addressed in a timely manner.
• 100% adherence to quality and health & safety standards.
About you:
The right candidate will possess the following:
- Ability to work as part of a team and equally as well working independently.
- Great attention to quality and safety
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail, and the ability to work unsupervised.
- Able to perform all tasks as assigned.
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple tasks.
- Mechanically minded and the ability to adapt this knowledge to the position.
