Assistant Coordinator of HSIE

Located on Sydney's Northern Beaches, this independent school caters for students across Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. Pittwater House is seeking a passionate and motivated Assistant Coordinator to join our HSIE Faculty from the commencement of the 2026 school year. This is a permanent, full-time role at Leadership Level 1, designed to provide support to the Faculty Coordinator in the leadership and management of the department.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and dynamic Economics specialist, with the ability and willingness to teach across other HSIE subjects, including Business Studies, Commerce, and related areas. They will demonstrate subject mastery, a strong understanding of NESA curriculum requirements, and the capacity to engage students through innovative and evidence-based practice.

In addition to their teaching load, the Assistant Faculty Coordinator will:

• Act as delegate for the Faculty Coordinator in their absence, ensuring continuity of leadership;
• Contribute to faculty professional learning and mentoring of colleagues;
• Take leadership of designated operational areas such as assessment, programs, excursions and digital learning platforms;
• Support effective communication with students, parents and colleagues; and
• Assist the Coordinator in implementing the Faculty's strategic goals to enhance student learning and engagement

All staff contribute to the School's pastoral care and co-curricular programs (note: no Saturday sport). Candidates must be eligible to teach in NSW and hold current NESA accreditation.
