We're currently seeking for an Optimization Program Manager to support with driving process excellence within our Delivery Services business.

Amazon Logistics aims to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible.

As an ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence Systems) Optimization Program Manager, you will own project and people management experience, strategic and tactical delivery of tech & waste expansion in a critical business portfolio. This role requires scoping and creating plans, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating across a variety of stakeholder teams. Working across a multidisciplinary team to achieve our objectives where speed and attention to detail is critical. Your goal is to solve complex problems with simple and practical solutions by developing a deep knowledge of the operation processes and building world-wide networking establishing best practice. Creating effective communication plans to provide visibility to all impacted teams of the organization will help you to enable overall process alignment within but not limited to; Tech enablement, launch readiness, Lean Practice, automation excellence & channel integration within operations.

Please note that this role will be based in a Delivery Station and requires up to 25% travel within Australia. This role will also be required to work across non-traditional shift patterns which include nights and weekends.

Key job responsibilities

Drive and deliver effective change processes, contribute to network standardization via best practice sharing,

Lead the waste removal, operational lean application & key programs designed to enhance operational execution,

Aim to reduce to cost to serve, driving compliance and realizing ROI on all programs pertaining to this role,

Implement actions plans and execute them to drive current performance to benchmark rates from implementation to path to green,

Lead successful order execution thus positively influence our cost to serve, operational compliance,

Partner closely with Directors and other senior leaders across Supply chain, Operations, Real estate, Design and Project execution. Contribute to audit initiatives and support results-driven action planning,

Influence without direct leadership authority program/operations managers to successfully deliver projects and goals across multiple organizations (AMZL/SC/MM),

Support Topology, Launch readiness e.g. process flow, ops clock, volume ramp ect,

Provide cross-team coordination, project/process management and executive presentation,

Work directly with world-wide teams, external providers, customers, and partner teams to craft and deliver scalable solutions applicable to AU,

Partner with other managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones and drive delivery,

Own program communication, accelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate,

Drive sourcing & operationalization of new technologies and lean practices to increase operational efficiency,

Present data driven analysis pertaining to all project work, waste removal, compliance,

Support ops integration & standardization within key expansion programs; SSD (Sub-same day), Night Deliveries, DSP (Delivery Service Partner), E-DSP, HUB, EV & Micro-mobility,

Support ops integration across new business tools; e.g. Siphon, ALPS ect,

Curate, own and contribute into key business planning cycles including CAPEX/OPEX requirements and KPI's.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
