About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our technical and operations team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the structural design, documentation, and delivery of precast concrete, steel, and hybrid structures across a range of building and infrastructure projects.

You will work closely with our design, factory, and construction teams to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient manufacture and installation of structural systems in accordance with Australian Standards. This position is based in Wauchope, NSW, with some travel to project sites as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of precast concrete panels, beams, columns, and steel connections in compliance with AS 3600, AS 4100, AS 3850, and NCC requirements.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, reinforcement detailing, lifting systems, and erection methodologies.
  • Provide technical support to the precast factory on formwork, reinforcement, mix design, lifting/handling, and QA/QC control.
  • Prepare tender designs, cost estimates, and technical documentation for project bids.
  • Coordinate with architects, builders, and clients to ensure design integration and constructability.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify compliance, structural integrity, and installation safety.
  • Manage project documentation, reports, and engineering calculations to meet certification and client requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of product design, low-carbon materials, and manufacturing efficiency.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's or PhD preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years' professional experience in structural engineering design and project delivery.
  • Proven experience with precast concrete and steel structure design.
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards (AS 3600, AS 4100, AS 3850, AS 1170, AS 2159, AS 5100).
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAP2000, SPACEGASS, IDEA StatiCa, Strand7, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent understanding of construction methods, QA/QC, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Chartered or eligible for Chartered status with Engineers Australia preferred.
  • Current driver's licence and White Card.
