Assistant Practice Manager / Experienced Optical Dispenser

We are seeking an experienced optical dispenser to step into a pivotal senior team member role, as Assistant Practice Manager. This is your opportunity to help lead our independent, dynamic and patient-focused optometry practice. Our ideal candidate will share our focus on delivering specialty and bespoke optometry services, as well as our passion for boutique eyewear collections and building loyal customer connections.

Essential Skills and Expertise:

  • Advanced proficiency in Optomate software
  • Previous managerial or team leadership experience
  • Familiar with the organisational aspects and daily running of a private practice
  • Expert-level frame and lens selection skills with precise prescription interpretation
  • Strategic stock management and robust supplier relations
  • Comprehensive skills in pre-testing, visual field testing, and diagnostic imaging
  • Exemplary reception and administrative capabilities

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven professional background in optical, medical, or administrative environments
  • Genuine passion for optics and an exceptional patient care journey
  • Motivated towards practice growth and a positive team morale
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, adept at engaging with patients, team members and maintaining referral relationships
  • Proactive, detail-oriented approach to professional responsibilities and presentation
  • Dynamic social media and marketing capabilities
  • Preferential consideration for specialty contact lens experience (training available for the right candidate)

Our practice has been located on Park Rd for over three decades, but re-launched last year under our new name in beautiful new premises. We pride ourselves on our patient-first approach and professional excellence.
