Your role:
- Assess and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults.
- Deliver evidence-based therapy for speech, language, fluency, voice, and social communication.
- Provide intervention for swallowing and feeding difficulties across age groups.
- Develop and implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for clients with complex communication needs.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, psychologists, behaviour practitioners, and support coordinators to deliver holistic care.
- Contribute to functional and comprehensive assessments for NDIS reporting and funding purposes.
- Provide education, training, and resources to families, carers, and support staff to promote skill generalisation.
- Participate in behaviour support planning where communication challenges impact behaviour.
- Deliver services flexibly—in clinic, home, or community settings—tailored to client goals.

More about you
- Relevant professional qualifications and registration (e.g., Speech Pathology Australia)
- Passion for helping people improve their communication and swallowing abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with clients, families, and the team.
- Empathy and patience to build rapport with clients across all ages.
- Creative and flexible thinking to adapt therapy approaches to individual client needs.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently, balancing clinical and administrative tasks.
- Team player mentality, willing to collaborate and contribute to a supportive work environment.
- Proactive attitude towards professional development and continuous learning.
- Current Working With Children Checks, Police Clearance, and other required certifications such as First Aid and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
- Access to own transport and a valid driver's license, enabling work across clinic and community settings.
