About the Role

Please note when applying this is a Casual role with varying hours of work. This is a chance to work with a flexible schedule that accommodates students, parents or those seeking additional hours.

Expressions of interest for Female Disability Support Worker in the Southern Suburbs and Logan areas. As a casual Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person centred active support to people living with disabilities.

You will be part of a dynamic team that delivers genuine support in all domains of life, to enable access to quality of life with dignity, respect, and social inclusion.

The role is Casual Sleepover; shifts are available from Monday-Sunday 2pm – 6am

Main responsibilities include

  • Personal care: grooming, dressing, toileting, and showering
  • Domestic assistance in housekeeping, and cleaning
  • Assists participants with medications
  • Community Access – Medical appointments
  • Meal preparation

About You

You are reliable with a good work ethic. You pride yourself on providing personal care with dignity and respect. You understand the importance of providing individualised support in a home environment and out in the community. You'll have experience in SIL/SDA and providing In Home support to disability participants.

  • Prior experience supporting clients with disabilities is highly desirable
  • Experience in dementia (highly desirable)
  • Must have a valid driver's licence and own reliable transport
  • Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)
  • Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
  • Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)
  • NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willing to obtain before employment)
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Smart phone with internet access
  • Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required
