We are recruiting across the northside of Brisbane specifically in areas such as Deception Bay, Lawnton, Strathpine and Brendale.

Your day could include:

  • Working in a SIL house or out in the community
  • Providing personal care, including hoist transfers, showering, dressing, and feeding assistance to clients who have physical disabilities.
  • Assisting with outings, social events, appointments, and everyday adventures including swimming and hydrotherapy sessions. This can sometimes be one on one with the participant, or with a second Support Worker.
  • Building confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging.
  • Engaging and interacting with our clients, making each day a positive, person-centred experience. Some clients are non-verbal.
  • Providing assistance with complex health needs such as peg feeding, catheter/stoma care, meal time management and seizures.

We are looking for people who are:

  • Flexible availability to cover shifts such as , plus sleepover
  • Experience supporting people with complex disabilities such as seizures, catheter care, peg feeding, vision/hearing impairments.
  • Confident communicating with non-verbal participants. Experience with communication devices (e.g., speech-generating devices, iPads) is highly desirable.
  • Happy to get involved in activities — from swimming, visiting cafes, sports, shopping, and more.

Role requirements:

  • A current NDIS Worker Screening card and Queensland Working With Children card.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • A driver licence, access to a suitable car, and comprehensive car insurance (as employees may be required to transport clients).
  • Legal right to work in Australia.
