About the role

A General Assistant Toolstoreperson is responsible for providing high level customer service to enhance the effective and efficient delivery of frontline class support. Your day-to-day activities will include but not limited to supporting students by contributing to a positive learning experience, general administration work, purchasing and organising tools, equipment and materials for students and staff. This position will carry out manual handling activities.

We currently have a Temporary Part-Time (24 hours per week) position available at our Campbelltown Campus in Autobody Refinishing.

An Eligibility List may be created from this recruitment for all Western Sydney locations.

About You

  • You are a self-starter who is willing to be hands-on to support learning outcomes and delivery in the classroom.
  • You are excited to share your industry knowledge and experience with others.
  • Have demonstrated experience working within a trade environment, using a range of hand and power tools and able to conduct minor repairs and maintenance.
  • You have the ability to work flexible shifts between 6am – 9pm as per business requirements.

Essential Criteria

  • A valid Working with Children Check (required prior to commencement).
  • Demonstrated experience working within a trade environment or related work areas.
  • Demonstrated experience in all aspects of purchasing within a trade environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in use of hand & power tools, small machinery and tool maintenance in a trade environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member or with limited supervision.

Highly Desirable:

  • Forklift license
  • Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies, in particular Microsoft excel, word and outlook.
  • Demonstrated experience in following WH&S instructions such as using correct PPE and following safe operating procedures.
