Anytime Exploration Services (AES) is a reputable and trusted provider of drilling and exploration services to the Mineral Exploration and Mining Industry in Australia. We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Field Assistants to join our team and support our clients' ongoing exploration efforts.
Role Overview:
As an experienced Field Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our client's geological teams in the field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in exploration services and a proven track record of contributing to successful operations. You must possess a safety-first mindset, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in remote and challenging conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct RC/AC duties, including chipping, sampling, and sample dispatch.
- Perform DD processing tasks.
- Accurately meter mark, conduct orientation, record RQD and SG data.
- Work safely and efficiently near RC & diamond drill rigs.
- Collect and enter data in compliance with project standards.
- Operate XRF & Magsus equipment for sample analysis.
- Manage the dispatching and archiving of samples.
- Undertake manual labour tasks as required.
- Participate actively in safety and pre-start meetings, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Field Assistant in the mineral exploration and mining industry (only applicants with relevant experience will be considered).
- Strong commitment to maintaining a high standard of health and safety at all times.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit and capable of working in remote and rugged environments.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive medical examination and drug and alcohol screening.
- Valid manual driver's license.
- Current National Police Certificate.
- Must be based in Northern Territory (Preference given to Darwin-based applicants).
- Australian citizenship, residency, or unrestricted work rights.
- First Aid certification is highly desirable.
- Flexibility with rostered work schedules required.
