Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Title: Senior DevOps Engineer – Terraform & Azure

Location: Sydney

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: 6 Months + high possibility of extension.

Working Flexibility: Hybrid – 2 days onsite, Chifley Square or Bella Vista

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Terraform, Azure, and Azure DevOps Pipelines. This role involves designing and implementing infrastructure automation in a highly secure, enterprise-scale environment. You'll work on complex IaC patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure cloud services while ensuring compliance and governance in a restricted network setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable Terraform modules for Azure and hybrid environments.
• Implement governance and quality controls in IaC pipelines (validation, linting, policy checks).
• Manage Azure services including monitoring, diagnostics, VM lifecycle, and network security.
• Build and maintain Azure DevOps Pipelines for IaC delivery in secure environments.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to ensure compliance and document reusable patterns.

Skills & Experience

• Strong previous experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices.
• Expertise in Azure DevOps Pipelines and CI/CD automation.
• Solid knowledge of Azure compute, networking, monitoring, and identity controls.
• Proficiency with Git workflows, automated testing, and policy-as-code.
• Experience working in restricted corporate networks and regulated environments.
