You will be responsible for improving the continuity of care; identifying issues early and performing psychosocial assessments to mitigate hospital avoidance in GIT patients. You will work collaboratively within a dynamic multidisciplinary team to ensure that your patients receive the best care possible.

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Current registration with AHPRA – Division 1 Registered Nurse.
• Post-registration qualifications in Cancer Nursing and at least 3 years' experience working in Oncology, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
• Commitment to champion, educate and lead a multidisciplinary team to improve patients' outcomes as part of a team.
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities according to best practice.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, carers, and a diverse range of health care providers.
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical practice development.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision maintaining involvement within the wider multidisciplinary team.
