A 7 day on, 7 day off opportunity for a motivated Deckhand to join the Feed Delivery crew at Port Huon.

The role

The Deckhand will assist with the supply of feed to our zones in the Channel and Storm Bay, and:

• Assist with the efficient delivery of feed, diesel, fuel, and potable water.
• Assist the Chief Engineer with maintaining the seaworthiness of the vessel through day-to-day maintenance using hand tools, power tools, and painting equipment.
• Assist with the timely removal of waste from barges.
• Comply with the laws of navigation and maritime legislation.

Located at Port Huon you will work on the deck of the Huon Supply and Southern Condor. Duties may include work on our pens and feed bins.

About you

• You have a passion for working on the water and ideally hold a Deck Machinery certificate and Forklift licence.
• You have excellent communication and enjoy working as part of a small team.
• You are able to adapt, deal with uncertainty and remain calm in a changing environment.
• Bonus points for relevant experience on a similar vessel.
