We have an opportunity for a Senior Water Engineer to contribute to delivering complex water engineering projects, including pipelines, integrated water design (IWD), Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) and nature-based solutions in SA and across APAC that support South Australia's sustainable growth. Based in the Energy, Water and Environment (EWE) team.
The role offers leadership and development opportunities and the chance to work across a range of major projects. You will collaborate with specialists from diverse fields including geospatial science, civil design, environmental planning, and First Nations communities to shape future precincts and growth corridors. The Opportunity
- Lead and deliver complex water engineering projects, including WSUD, IWD, pipelines, and nature-based solutions in SA and across APAC.
- Manage client and regulator engagement, ensuring alignment with water resources planning and delivery goals.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior staff within a supportive and inclusive team environment.
- Contribute to project bids, business development, and the growth of our water sector capabilities.
- Collaborate with planners, data scientists, climate specialists, and First Nations partners to create integrated water strategies that serve diverse communities.

Is this role right for you?
- 8–12 years' experience in consulting, government, or private sector water engineering, ideally with design and planning exposure.
- Expertise in water systems planning, hydraulic modelling, WSUD, or pump station infrastructure.
- A degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- A strong understanding of Australian statutory processes and sustainable water management practices.
- Excellent communication, project management, and team coordination skills with a passion for innovation and community outcomes.
