St Mary's Echuca is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Leader of Learning – Diversity & Inclusion to join our welcoming and progressive school community in a fixed-term position with the potential of ongoing. St Mary's Echuca is a co-educational Catholic Primary School of 550+ students from Foundation to Year 6, founded by the Bridgidine Sisters in 1887. St Mary's is situation in Echuca, in the northern part of Victoria along the banks of the Murray River. You will need:

  • A strong commitment to Catholic Education & Catholic Identity
  • Proven leadership and expertise in supporting diverse learners, including those with additional needs, learning difficulties and giftedness.
  • Experience in data-informed practices to support intervention, enrichment and inclusion.
  • The ability to mentor and support staff in evidence-based teaching and learning approaches.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive partnerships with families and external agencies.
  • Accreditation to teach RE or a willingness to obtain
  • A commitment to knowing how learners learn and how to best target individuals needs
  • Positive, realistic and creative strategies for managing student behaviour and adhering to whole school practices
  • The ability to provide a safe and engaging learning environment that will truly make a difference
  • A willingness to be an effective member of the St Mary's professional community, committing to ongoing quality personal and professional learning
  • Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
  • An understanding of AITSL standards & the expectations of professional teachers
  • A commitment to the VRQA Child Safe Standards & Practices

Magnify Sandhurst

In 2025, a diocesan first, a comprehensive and exciting new learning and teaching program was simultaneously launched across over 50 Catholic schools in the Sandhurst Diocese.

Magnify Sandhurst will be introduced across 2025 to 2027, with each phase designed to bring measurable improvements in each learning environment.

Magnify Sandhurst is set to transform learning for students with more specific and explicit teaching practices, bringing greater consistency and a more predictable and effective education experience for all students.

The Magnify Sandhurst program combines evidence-based practices in teaching and learning to support each student's unique needs, strengths, and goals, focusing on strengthening core areas like literacy and numeracy, building supportive classroom environments, and integrating Catholic values in daily learning.
