You will leverage your understanding of the stock market to generate new business, manage ongoing customer relationships, and support the execution of commercial initiatives, with a focus on clients in the USA and Australia. This is a hands-on sales role covering prospecting, lead management, campaign execution, and ongoing customer relationships. Beyond day-to-day sales, you will also contribute strategically to shaping our commercial function, go-to-market approach, and product evolution.TEAM STRUCTUREYou will be our first hire in the Commercial team, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. As the pioneer in this function, you will help shape our business development strategy from the ground up. You will collaborate closely with product, and executive teams to ensure client success and alignment between business opportunities and company strategy.RESPONSIBILITIESSales & Lead ManagementIdentify and engage listed companies in the USA and Australia through outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn) and manage inbound leads from marketing and referrals.Run discovery conversations, deliver presentations via phone, video calls, in-person and drive opportunities through to close.Maintain accurate CRM records of all activities, opportunities, and forecasts.Campaign Management & Customer SuccessWork with clients to design and deliver advertising campaigns that meet their objectives.Oversee campaign execution with internal teams, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.Provide reporting, insights, and recommendations during and after campaigns.Support ongoing customer relationships to drive renewals, upsells, and long-term value.Strategic ContributionProvide structured feedback from clients and prospects to shape product development and positioning.Contribute to building the commercial playbook — refining sales processes, messaging, and customer engagement strategies.Partner with leadership to influence go-to-market models, pricing, and commercial strategy.CAPABILITIESKnowledgePrior experience in sales, partnerships, or B2B sales - ideal.Familiarity with advertising, financial media, or equity research is a strong advantage.SkillsStrong relationship-building and networking skills.Persuasive communicator with excellent presentation and negotiation abilities.Commercially minded with the ability to align client needs to revenue opportunities.CRM management skills — disciplined in logging activities, keeping pipeline data accurate, and ensuring reliable forecasting.Resilient, results-driven, and able to work independently to hit targets.AttributesEntrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude.Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.High integrity, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.Self-motivated, ambitious, and eager to contribute to company growth.PERKSFlexible Remote Working: Work where you are most productive;Simply Stop: Time is one of the most valuable commodities, so we stop working early on Fridays;Share Club: We provide a subscription to SWS, cash for you to invest & regular sessions to discuss stocks and investment ideas;Parental Leave Policy: With a supportive part-time return to work option;Learning & Development Fund: We invest in your growth;Team Events & Hackathons: An opportunity for everyone to come together and push what is possible.PERKSFlexible Remote Working: Work where you are most productive;Simply Stop: Time is one of the most valuable commodities, so we stop working early on Fridays;Share Club: We provide a subscription to SWS, cash for you to invest & regular sessions to discuss stocks and investment ideas;Parental Leave Policy: With a supportive part-time return to work option;Learning & Development Fund: We invest in your growth;Team Events & Hackathons: An opportunity for everyone to come together and push what is possible.
