Who We're Looking For We are seeking passionate, ambitious, and driven sales professionals eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) for ANZ, you will collaborate with Field Sales Representatives to engage with mid-market and enterprise accounts. Your role will focus on prospecting, building relationships, and identifying opportunities that showcase Actian's cutting-edge technology and value proposition.
This role is a great launchpad for career growth into senior sales positions such as Senior SDR, Territory Sales, and Enterprise Account Executive roles. Key Objectives:
- Qualify and Develop Leads: Identify and engage multiple prospects within target accounts to create new sales opportunities. Manage and nurture leads strategically within your assigned territory.
- Account & Prospect Research: Leverage advanced prospecting tools to build and maintain a world-class customer database, ensuring high-quality engagement.
- Refine Messaging & Outreach: Develop compelling messaging and content to drive repeatable success against our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), targeted personas, and 1:1 Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies.
- Territory & Pipeline Management: Maintain a structured territory plan, ensuring accuracy in to support forecasting and sales management.
- Quota-Carrying Inside Sales Role: Engage in daily customer meetings (virtual/remote), actively building a high-quality pipeline.
- Executive-Level Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with VP and C-suite decision-makers, effectively positioning Actian's solutions to address their business needs.
- High-Volume Outreach & Engagement: Drive activity across outbound calls, personalized 1:1 email campaigns, and social media selling to maximize engagement and pipeline growth.
- Sales Presentations & Collaboration: Deliver impactful virtual presentations and product demos, working closely with Actian Sales Engineers to showcase solutions effectively.
- 2+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably in SaaS, cloud, or data analytics solutions.
- Full Sales Cycle Experience: Proven ability to manage sales from initial outreach and discovery to demo, negotiation, and closing.
- Occasional Travel Required: Willingness to travel for key customer engagements and team meetings.
- Self-Starter & Problem Solver: Creative thinker who proactively identifies opportunities and implements solutions.
- Strong Time Management & Prioritization: Ability to juggle multiple accounts while maintaining a results-driven approach.
- Data-Driven & Highly Organized: Ability to track and analyze performance metrics in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills tailored for both technical and business audiences.
- Familiarity with modern sales tools (Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Outreach, Drift) is a plus.
