Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in Cytology specimen collection and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to provide general Cytological advice to professional and operational supervisors regarding service delivery and improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to provide Cytological services of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation or modification.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives and provide Cytology supervision to subordinate personnel.
- Proven ability to be a positive and contributing member of a diverse team.
Qualifications, registrations and other requirements
The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant discipline.
Postgraduate qualification in Cytology such as the ASC or IAC.
