Bishops Transport are seeking an experienced MC/HC Local Truck driver with a forklift license at our depot located in Darwin.

Will suit local candidate.

About this opportunity

Working with a small team, it is all hands-on deck with a large focus on loading and unloading, breaking down triple road trains and deliveries within local area.

Due to continued growth, our Transport & Logistics division requires an experienced MC/HC local driver based in Darwin to provide safe and efficient pick-up and delivery of freight within the Darwin area.

To be considered for the position you will have but not limited to the following:

  • MC/HC license with road ranger - Unrestricted
  • Forklift (LF) license - current
  • Fatigue Management certificate
  • Commercial Drivers Medical - current
  • Regional driving experience
  • Loading & unloading triple road trains
  • Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
  • Paperwork proficient
  • Previous transport/yard experience - desirable
  • Strong work ethic
  • Safety conscious
  • Great communication skills
  • Understanding of the Chain of Responsibility and Load Restraint
