Our Business Operational Risk Management team in the Corporate Operations Group supports the Business Services division, ensuring operational risks are identified, managed, and mitigated across our global footprint. You will join a collaborative group that works closely with senior management, risk specialists, and teams across Macquarie to foster a strong risk culture and drive continuous improvement.

What role will you play?

As an Associate Director in our Business Operational Risk Management team, you will advise on all aspects of non-financial risk and support the Business Services Leadership teams in making informed, risk-based decisions. You will have the opportunity to shape and embed operational risk culture, deliver risk management initiatives, and partner with stakeholders to ensure our risk frameworks are effective and aligned with business objectives. Additionally, you will oversee assurance activities, lead global risk workshops, and provide expert guidance to drive best practice across the division.

What you offer

  • 7+ years' of experience in operational risk management or a related discipline, ideally within financial services
  • Strong ability to influence, lead, and collaborate with internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven skills in analysing risks, developing strategies, and presenting clear, concise reports
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and initiatives
  • Effective communication skills, with a pragmatic, team-driven approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
