Details:
Role: Mobile Architect & Developer
Location: Melbourne
Experience: 6+ years
Architecture & Design:
- Architect and develop scalable mobile applications for iOS (Swift/SwiftUi)and Android (Kotlin, Jetpack).
- Design modular, reusable components and adhere to best practices in Mobile UI/UX design.
- Ensure seamless integration with backend services via GraphQL, REST APIs, and WebSockets.
- Collaborate with Cloud & DevOps teams for optimized deployment and scalability.
Mobile App Development:
- Build highly performant and responsive mobile applications with Swift/Kotlin.
- Implement state management solutions like Context API.
- Develop reusable UI components following design system principles and material guidelines.
- Ensure mobile-first development with adaptive layouts across various screen sizes.
Performance & Optimization:
- Optimize mobile applications for smooth animations, efficient rendering, and minimal resource consumption.
- Implement techniques such as lazy loading, prefetching, and caching to boost app performance.
- Conduct regular performance profiling using tools like Xcode Instruments, Android Profiler, and Firebase Performance Monitoring.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement secure authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, biometric authentication).
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, OWASP Mobile Security standards, and platform-specific security best practices.
- Protect user data with encryption techniques and secure API communication methods.
- Testing & Quality Assurance
- Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and UI tests using Jest, Detox, XCTest, Espresso, or Appium.
- Conduct rigorous manual and automated testing to ensure bug-free releases.
- Perform code reviews to maintain clean coding standards and best practices.
DevOps & CI/CD:
- Work with Azure, Git, GitHub/GitLab, and set up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Firebase App Distribution.
- Automate app building and deployment processes with Fastlane, Gradle, and Xcode Build Tools.
- Ensure smooth OTA (Over-the-Air) updates with App Stores and Play Store rollout strategies.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Work closely with designers, backend developers, and QA teams to ensure seamless mobile app development.
- Participate in sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and contribute actively to technical discussions.
- Stay updated with the latest mobile technology trends, frameworks, and performance optimization strategies.
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in SwiftUI, Kotlin, or other mobile development frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with mobile app architecture, scalability, and modularization.
- Deep understanding of platform-specific guidelines (Apple HIG, Android Material Design).
- Familiarity with GraphQL, REST APIs, and third-party SDK integrations.
- Proficiency in Firebase, Push Notifications, Deep Linking, and mobile analytics.
- Strong knowledge of responsive UI, accessibility standards, and mobile security.
- Solid understanding of Git workflows, semantic versioning, and CI/CD automation.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in AI-powered mobile features, AR/VR applications, or mobile ML implementations.
- Familiarity with Jetpack Compose (Android) or SwiftUI (iOS).
- Prior contributions to npm-based mobile libraries or open-source projects.
