This role operates within the Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC), which functions 24/7/365 as a central command and monitoring centre, crisis management and

information hub built on actionable intelligence.

This is not a cybersecurity role. This position operates on-site from Sydney. The working hours

for a full-time role are hrs and hrs (2 days, 2 nights and 4 off).

Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a GSOC Operator to support our business, security operations, crisis management,

intelligence and clients. The role requires the multi-tasking of customer service provision, threat

detection through alarms and CCTV, alarm response, access control, crisis management, updating and implementing SOPs, OSINT monitoring of news, threat and sentiment towards our client, as well as the monitoring of global and local risks and events. The Operator will also be responsible of the coordination of security planning and a critical link between the GSOC and the Field Operative team.

What you'll do:

The GSOC Operator will be responsible for:


• Customer Service: responding to client requests and distributing them to the relevant internal

teams.


• Communication: Handling communication systems, including radio, telephone, and email (both

clients and internal).


• Coordination: Liaising with Field Operatives to ensure effective coordination of responses to

incidents and operational requirements.


• CCTV, Alarms, and Access Control: Monitoring surveillance systems, such as CCTV,

responding to alarm activations, and managing access controls.


• Monitoring Systems: Performing system checks and monitoring for system faults.


• Escalation and Crisis Management: Acting as an escalation conduit to the relevant Duty

Lead or emergency contacts based on the nature of the emergency and requests.

Implementing crisis management processes when necessary.


• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Updating SOPs and collaborating with Security

Leads on the implementation of new alarms and cameras for new clients. Updating security

records, logs, client databases, and procedures.


• Client Expertise and Knowledge: Maintaining an excellent understanding of clients' specific

SOPs and risk levels.


• Online Intelligence Monitoring: This involves monitoring, tracking, and analysing imminent

threats both domestically and internationally. It includes alerting stakeholders about rapidly

developing situations through Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) to support our security

operations on the ground.

What we're looking for:


• Passionate, proactive, self-motivated and can effectively prioritise, manage deadlines, and work

autonomously.


• Experience in Control Room/ alarm monitoring centre.


• Understanding and knowledge of alarm management, access control and CCTV platforms.


• Excellent customer service skills.


• Strong interpersonal skills, including accuracy in information relay.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Adaptable, flexible, well organized, and strong attention to detail.


• Ability to work 24/7 rotating roster, including night shifts and weekends.


• Must have a NSW Security Licence (at least Class 1E Monitoring Centre Operator).


• Intelligence/OSINT knowledge would be advantageous.
