About the role:

As a Gas Services Worker, you'll conduct monthly and quarterly reads of Origin-owned gas and hot water meters at domestic, commercial, and industrial properties. You'll also help maintain Origin assets and sites, support gas fitters with projects and installations, and play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Flexibility, initiative, and a commitment to safety are essential in this dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote and support a safety-based work culture, actively managing risks to achieve zero LTIs
• Carry out meter readings at customer premises in a timely, safe, and courteous manner
• Support Service & Installation gas fitters with manual work on projects, installations, and maintenance jobs
• Perform regular maintenance on Origin tank/cylinder compounds, including washing and signage replacement
• Manage multiple tasks, assess priorities, and meet agreed targets

What will you bring?

• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A valid driver's license (or ability to obtain one suitable for all vehicles driven)
• Ability to accurately read approximately 3,000 meters at customer premises within set timeframes
• Willingness and ability to carry out manual labour (trenching, digging, weed control, washing/painting LPG tanks)
• Blue Card/White Card (with MR Class, Forklift/EWP licenses, or trade qualifications highly regarded)
