Industrial Blaster

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Site Painter will be required to undertake the following tasks:Surface preparation and application of various paint systemsComplete daily surface and ambient testing with digital equipmentEnsure all Record Keeping is up to date for QA requirements.Progressive testing for WFT and recordingConstant communication with Site Supervisor and Client Supervisors to maximise each day's production.Skills and AttributesThe ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes for the position:Minimum 3 years' Experience as an Industrial Painter and be able to organise works to maximise efficiency.Very strong commitment to workplace Health and SafetyGood communication skills both oral and writtenExperience in Industrial blast and paint in the field with particular exposure to AESS3 and touching up damaged surfaces.Experience using 2k Zinc, Epoxy and Top Coating protective coatingsExperience with surface preparation requirements for industrial protective coatingsExperience applying paint with Spray equipment, Brush and RollerAbility to Paint to required Wet Film Thickness (WFT) / Dry Film Thickness (DFT)Proficient in the use of coating inspection instruments (WFT and DFT gauges) including recording daily surface and ambient conditionsBe physically fit and able to perform duties as required.Applicants must have unrestricted work rights in AustraliaQualificationsIdeally you would have as a minimum a 1 – 3 years' experience in field painting, however, if you have a very strong background in Industrial Blast and Paint and are ready to step up to a new challenge please apply.Ideally you will have licences for:· Working at Heights· EWP> 11 metres· Scissor lift ticket· Experience in construction site works including Construction Industry White Card· RIW ticket· NACE / AMPP accreditation would be favourableAbout SamarasSamaras Structural Engineers is a leader in Australian structural steel fabrication and have extensive welding, blasting, and painting facilities based in Gillman South Australia.Samaras Structural Engineers have successfully completed many major infrastructure and iconic development projects in NSW, VIC, and SA.RenumerationEBA rates and conditions.Contact DetailsPlease send your CV outlining your skills, abilities, and qualification to meet the above position via email to
