Due to recent growth, we are looking for an experienced accountant to join our team

About the Role

Based in our Shepparton office and reporting to the General Manager with a dotted line to the Finance lead, you will be responsible for the financial operations of business.

This is a hands-on role that combines day-to-day financial management with the opportunity to influence broader business strategy and performance.

This role is suited to someone that can demonstrate and has strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.

You'll be hands on with the financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, compliance, and support strategic decision-making with commercial insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full financial function for our company, including reconciliation and monthly reporting including cash flow reporting
  • Preparation of Activity Statements with the ATO and Payroll Tax Returns.
  • Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and financial systems (with external support as needed)
  • Familiar with finance software systems and have proven Excel skills.
  • Liaise with third parties as required including but not limited to finance institutions, accountants, ASIC, ABS and ATO
  • Work with sales and operations to support business growth and operational efficiency
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in line the business objectives
  • Support cost-saving initiatives, pricing strategies, and margin analysis

About You

  • Qualified in Accounting – Degree
  • Qualified CPA / CA preferable - or working towards becoming qualified
  • Strong understanding of Australian accounting and compliance requirements
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • 5 -7 years of practical accounting experience working with agile small to medium companies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
