Carpenter Required for 2-month/ongoing Assignment

Blue Collar People are looking for a broadly-skilled, flexible and experienced qualified carpenter for a 2-month assignment until the end of the year There is a reasonable chance for the assignment to be turn into an ongoing role, so you must be interested in a long-term position.

You'll be working with other carpenters and labourers in a close-knit team of good people, so good English, a great attitude and the ability to work well with others is essential. You must also be comfortable working at heights and be happy to chip in with non-carpentry responsibilities around the site with the team when needed.

This role may include some FIFO work (not guaranteed), which pays a higher hourly rate

  • Role: General 1st and 2nd-fix carpentry, largely on commercial projects. Responsibilities can be quite varied
  • Duration: 2 months, with the possibility of becoming an ongoing role
  • Location: Bayswater, Perth
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Pay Rate: $50.00 per hour + $21.94 per day in travel + penalties for overtime/weekends
  • Hours: 5 days a week, with a bit of overtime each day and the possibility of weekend work

Requirements:

  • All your own tools and transport
  • A trade certificate or equivalent qualification
  • To be energetic, active and physically fit
  • Great English
  • Full working rights here in Australia (WHM can be considered)
  • A White Card
  • The ability to obtain your Working at Heights, Police Clearance or Police Integrity Check if required
