About the role

Skillion Homes is seeking a talented and experienced Carpenter to join our growing team in Perth, Western Australia. As a Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the construction and renovation of high-quality residential properties, contributing to the success and growth of our company. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Constructing and installing interior and exterior building components, including walls, floors, roofs, doors, and windows
  2. Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient work
  3. Utilising a range of power tools and hand tools to complete carpentry tasks
  4. Collaborating with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless project completion
  5. Maintaining a safe and organised work site, adhering to all relevant safety regulations and procedures
  6. Providing expert advice and guidance to homeowners and other stakeholders, as required
  7. Attending regular team meetings to discuss project progress and address any challenges or concerns

What we're looking for

  1. Formal qualifications in carpentry, such as a Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
  2. Experience as a Carpenter in the residential construction industry
  3. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues effectively
  4. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  5. Effective communication and collaboration skills, able to work well as part of a team
  6. A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to access job sites
  7. Commitment to workplace health and safety practices
