With a strong growth trajectory supported by a robust warehouse facility, we are poised for further expansion and are looking to strengthen our business development team.

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in driving growth by building and maintaining strong relationships with referrers (business finance brokers, accountants, lawyers) and directly with SME clients. You will manage the sales process end-to-end — from lead generation to onboarding clients — ensuring that Fifo Capital remains the trusted partner of choice for working capital solutions.

How you'll spend your time

  • Building trusted relationships with referrers and their SME clients.
  • Proactively managing your sales funnel, following up on leads, and converting opportunities.
  • Owning the entire lifecycle from first contact through to becoming a valued client.
  • Supporting referrers and SMEs with finance enquiries, applications, and ongoing needs.
  • Educating referrers about cashflow finance solutions and their role in business growth.
  • Keeping Fifo Capital top of mind so that referrers actively recommend us.

What you'll bring to Fifo Capital

  • Passion for B2B sales and business growth.
  • Strong skills in business development and relationship management.
  • Experience in business lending or financial services.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to understand client needs.
  • Self-motivation, independence, and excellent communication skills.

Desirable

  • Experience in business risk assessment, financial analysis, and due diligence.
  • Established network of referral partners such as business finance brokers, accountants and lawyers.
  • Demonstrated success in originating and closing SME lending or cashflow finance deals.
  • Strong understanding of SME cashflow dynamics and challenges.
  • Ability to contribute ideas for improving sales processes and client experience.
