We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Estimator to join a well-established civil construction team based in Toowoomba. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to diverse infrastructure projects, including roads, earthworks, drainage, rail, and renewable works across public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation of competitive tenders in the civil and rail sectors.
  • Analyse project documentation to assess scope, risks, and requirements.
  • Prepare cost estimates, construction methodologies, and programs.
  • Manage the tender process from initial review through to submission.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure seamless project handover.
  • Maintain and improve estimating systems and rate libraries.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in civil estimating.
  • Proficiency with Expert Estimation and project programming software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Skilled in first-principles take-offs and BoQ validation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Department of Main Roads contracts/specifications (desirable).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
