We are seeking a proactive and experienced WHS Risk & Compliance Officerto lead and support our commitment to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all students, employees, contractors, and visitors. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working both strategically and hands-on - ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a strong safety culture across our college.

You'll be able to:

  • Coordinate and implement our College's Work Health and Safety policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Support our staff to meet legislative and organisational WHS obligations.
  • Conduct and facilitate incident investigations and safety audits.
  • Deliver WHS inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training.
  • Monitor and report on WHS performance, trends, and compliance.
  • Promote consultation and communication on safety matters across all levels of the College.
  • Ensure all safety documentation and reporting is accurate and up to date.

Do you have?

  • A tertiary WHS qualification (and/or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated high-level specialist knowledge and experience with WHS, RTW, Risk and Compliance legislation and practice.
  • Proven experience in a WHS coordination or advisory role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to influence and engage staff at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
