About Threadheads

We're not your average t-shirt brand. Threadheads is building one of the most advanced on-demand print-to-order fulfilment operations in Australia — and we're looking for a Production & Warehouse Manager to help us take it to the next level.

The Role

This isn't just about keeping the DTG/DTF machines running (though you'll do that too). It's about re-imagining how a modern print-on-demand fulfilment centre should operate. You'll own the day-to-day of our print floor and warehouse, while also leading the charge on process improvements, new tech adoption, and innovations that make us faster, cleaner, and smarter. From Melbourne you'll help set the standard for our global production centres — and occasionally jump on a plane to China or the USA to support builds, training, and knowledge sharing.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage DTG/DTF production and warehouse operations — from pretreat to print to pack.
  • Drive process innovation: find and implement better ways to organise the floor, reduce reprints, and increase throughput.
  • Stay across new tech in digital garment printing, finishing equipment (like folding/packing machines), and robotics — and run small pilots to see what sticks.
  • Be hands-on with printing when needed (you've printed before — DTG, DTF, or screen).
  • Mentor and develop your team leads and operators, setting clear output and quality targets.
  • Work with our Ops Manager to align production capacity with demand forecasts and P&L goals.
  • Ensure the warehouse is tidy, stocked with consumables, and run to a lean/5S standard.
  • Report on key metrics: daily prints, QC pass rate, fulfilment speed, labour cost per order.
  • Travel occasionally to support our China and USA production centres with setup, training, and process alignment.

What We're Looking For

  • You've printed t-shirts before — DTG, DTF, or screen (bonus if across multiple).
  • Experience leading a production or warehouse team in a manufacturing or print environment.
  • A natural tinkerer: you like trying new processes, new tech, and finding efficiencies.
  • Curiosity about automation — folding machines, robotics, AI-driven workflows all excite you.
  • A bias toward action: you like testing ideas fast and scaling what works.
  • Strong leadership chops — you keep your floor tidy, your numbers up, and your team motivated.
  • Comfortable with occasional travel internationally (short trips, hands-on support).
